4 Questions to Ask a Company Offering Data Entry Work From Home

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Asking the right questions can help you determine which company offering data entry work from home would work best for you. These all important questions are listed below.

One of the most popular part-time jobs in the United States and the rest of the world is online data entry. Apart from being able to provide a good source of extra income, one of the reasons why data entry jobs are popular is because of its convenience. Anyone can do data entry work from home, in an Internet café or in their favorite coffee shop.

Although most of the information you need is posted on the website, it is still important to ask if you have any doubts. Not only would you be better informed of the data entry work opportunity offered. It is also one way for you to determine if the company you are looking into is legitimate. Here are four of the important questions to ask these companies.

Registration Fees

Many companies offering data entry work from home opportunities would require you to pay a registration fee. Inquire as to what the fee is for. Would they be sending any materials or would this be for the software program used? If they did not include information about a trial period, ask the company if it offers a money back guarantee. Make sure that you jot down the specific reasons and the time period you can apply for this.

Payment Methods and Terms

Data entry work from home work opportunities would pay you only for the work completed. Inquire as to the rate you will be paid per form completed. This way, you will have an idea how many forms should be completed for a particular amount. It is also very important to inquire just how often would they be paying you. Would this be done weekly, bi-monthly or monthly? If it is bi-monthly or monthly, when is the cut-off period for the payment? Make sure that you also inquire about the methods of payment. Would they allow payments to be deposited to your online payment account like Paypal, or directly to your bank account?

Hidden Charges

Another important thing to ask the company offering data entry work from home is if there are any taxes or fees deducted from your salary. Many people are caught off guard when they receive their salary and the amount is lower than what they are expecting. Remember that some companies would deduct any bank transfer fees from your gross salary. This is to make sure that there are no surprises when you receive your salary.

Reference Information

The most important thing to ask when inquiring with a company offering data entry work from home is the complete name of the representative you spoke with. Make sure that you get their first and last name before ending the call. In some cases, some companies would advise their representatives not to provide their last name. In this case, ask for their agent number or code to include in your reference. This is to make sure that when you call back in the future and are told a different set of information, you would be able to refer back to the previous agent. Also note down the date and time that you made the call.

How Purchased MLM Business Opportunity Leads Work

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

Purchasing MLM business opportunity leads is a great strategy for some people to build their team. There is a right way and a wrong way to buy leads. Most distributors use the wrong way and then they wonder why they aren’t having success.

The first mistake distributors make is people who really have no need to buy leads are the ones buying them. The very best person to prospect for your opportunity is someone you already know. The second best person to prospect is a referral from someone you know. The third best person is a lead that you personally generate. Buying leads should only be done after the previous three options have been exhausted.

The problem with relying exclusively on purchased MLM business opportunity leads is that you will have to go through a lot of them to get a good result. This is because of the method that the lead vendors use to generate the lead. In order to keep the leads price competitively, the company advertises a generic business opportunity mostly on the internet. Some of them may also advertise on the radio, on television or in a magazine. The prospect fills out some basic information and the lead is then distributed to distributors that purchase them.

The problem with this approach is that the person filling out the lead form has no idea what they are going to be looking at. As a result, you have no way of knowing how truly interested that person is. They might just be curious to know what the opportunity is, but really have no interest in starting a business. In fact, the overwhelming majority of the leads that you purchase will be in this category.

When buying business opportunity leads, consider the lead type and quality. The lowest quality leads cost lower than the highest quality leads. However, just because the quality is higher that doesn’t mean that the results are going to be better. That is why it is important that you try different lead types out and track your activity so that you can see which lead type gives you the best results for your time, energy and money.

As an example, a lead company may offer phone interviewed leads for $3 a lead. A phone interviewed lead is a person in which the lead company has called them on the telephone and verified that the person is interested in starting a business opportunity. You receive the lead as soon as the interview is completed.

That same company may also offer local area code older leads for 75 cents a lead. These leads are up to 30 days old but they are all within a specific area code that you choose. You may think that the $3 leads are better than the 75 cent leads. However, if you actually brought them and called them, you might find that you get a much better result from the 75 cent leads than you get from the $3 one.

On the other hand, you could also find that even though the 75 cent leads give you a better result, the $3 leads give you a result that you are satisfied with with a significant reduction in the amount of time that you have to spend. If a batch of leads that cost $150 nets you 2 recruits, you would have to call 200 of the 75 cent leads to get 2 recruits. However, you would only have to call 50 of the $3 leads to get the same 2 recruits.

One of the best ways to find a good lead provider is to see who in your upline or specific company is using as their lead provider. Chances are if you have distributors who are having success in your particular business opportunity, the leads are worth working. Ask the lead vendor if they can have you speak to distributors who are using those leads that are in your network marketing company. Then, if your company has some type of recognition program that is easy to quality for if you are active, look to see if that distributor is a part of that program. If they are, you know that the leads are truly working for them.

Of course, you also want to make sure you have a legitimate need to work leads to begin with. Otherwise you are just wasting your money. If you still have 300 people in your warm market (which refers to your friends, family and neighbors) that you haven’t exposed to your business opportunity, you really have no need at all to buy leads. MLM Business Opportunity Leads are not an excuse to avoid talking to people that you don’t feel comfortable talking to. They should be used as a tool to supplement your other prospecting efforts.

Learn to Write and Publish Your Work For Profit!

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

One proven way to promote your business opportunity effectively is to write about what you do in simple yet informative blogs, forums and articles. There are experts who feel that article marketing is the most powerful, affordable and focused medium to promote any online business. Writing articles for some folks is an easy process while others struggle with the task of putting their thoughts in words on paper or electronically. Forcing yourself to write when you don’t feel like writing is a quick turn off for most marketers.

Nothing says you must write an article every day. I personally write at least one informative article every day and it comes pretty natural now that I’ve been doing it for awhile. When I first started an online business I was told I needed to learn to write and it was quite a chore for me to fulfill the demands that I put on myself, however, when I relaxed and focused my thought process on what I wanted to convey to my readers the process became so much easier.

Not everyone can write and there’s nothing wrong with that. If you don’t feel that you can write, then pay a ghost writer to write for you. There are some excellent writers out there that can write some powerful copy but they can’t market worth a hoot. Do what you do best. If you can market and can’t seem to get the hang of writing then let someone else write for you.

Recent reports indicate that article marketing is a sure fire way of promoting any product or service online so use this medium to promote your business quickly and effectively.

In the rest of this article I want to share with you some of the basics that will help you become the writer you need to be…..to succeed. You may never win some fancy awards for your writing but you can gain “Top Positions on Google” and other fine search engines simply by writing articles on a consistent basis and publishing those writing online. The search engines love new keyword rich content about any subject so choose a subject that you’re passionate about and just start writing about what you know and how you think and talk. You learn to write by writing!

Try your hand at writing a simple article just for the heck of it about any subject you feel important to you right now. Keep your article and review it in a few days and modify it with some new ideas you may have thought of since you wrote the original article.

Be sure and save your writings because there is a thought process that you’ve just gone through that you may never experience again in your life. The next time you write you may use your previous writing as an outline and come up with a masterpiece…who knows. Publish all of your writings in an article directory….better yet own your own article directory.

Keep in mind that your article needs some form of structure. I like to retro my thought process back to my high school days and use the five w’s that they taught us to use for writings in English class. Who, What, When, Where and Why or how. This same format that was used years ago is still a viable method you can use when constructing a blog, posting to a forum or writing an article for publication.

I like to have a general idea of what the title of my article will be based on the subject matter I want to write about before I start to write, however, I do not name my article until I am completely finished with my writing. This allows me some leave way in writing as well as allowing me to name the title more relevant to what my finished writing evolved into. There’s no cut in stone way to write since we are all so different and we each have a different delivery of our thoughts when writing. Just be yourself, write from the heart, be straight forward and descriptive about your subject matter should work for you….it always works for me.

The latest trend of owning your own article directory is an excellent way for you to have access to a directory for submissions for all your writings. You’re always in control of your admin panel and if you don’t like the outcome of an article you can change it. Other authors will also sign up in your directory and submit to your article directory too. By having your own directory it’s a powerful way to build links and back links to your primary business website.

In Conclusion…There is no better time to learn to write than right now. Write about what you know, be truthful and thoughtful of whatever you may be writing about. Practice makes perfect so keep all your writing for future reference and don’t hesitate to update your articles with your latest thoughts on a regular basis. Consider owning your own article directory and experience the full benefits of what this one affordable asset can do for your overall marketing results.

Things You Must Consider In Finding Work From Home Opportunities

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Although working from home sounds easy and ideal to some extent, it is actually not as easy to find. Looking for a legitimate job you can do from home can sometimes even be harder than finding one in the corporate world. Sure, there may be a lot of advertisements about them online, but most of them will require you to be a resident of a certain area or spend a specific time in the office. Others may offer you a part-time or freelance position, but this means you have to continually look for potential positions.

One thing you have to consider in finding work from home opportunities is that the skills needed in them is the same with those needed for office jobs. You must have the experience and the skills to work. You will also need to set up even just a simple home office with a computer, internet connection, printer, phone, fax, and other common office equipment.

So, how will you find work from home opportunities? First thing you ought to do is set your mind. Consider that searching for a job is your current job. This will help you concentrate better. Dedicate as many hours as possible in your employment search as if you were already working. Needless to say, if you wish to find a full-time job you can do from home, you must spend full-time hours looking for a home-based job.

Of course, networking is most probably going to be on top of the list. A legitimate networking site could work and give you profit. Just make sure you do a careful background check about the company first.

You can also ask family members and friends around. You may choose to join discussion forums on job searching. You may get surprised by the many people who are willing to help or those who are also in search for the same kind of job.

Another thing you can do is check home job sites. Look through their listings and do not forget to take advantage of the section where you can post your resume. It’ll be easier for a potential employer to know whether you are fit for the job and they can also easily reach you when the need arises.

You can also make use of the job search engines. Use terms such as “work at home” and “freelance”. You can do the same on online job banks. They will definitely give you hundreds of results and all you have to do is browse through them and find your match.

You may be wondering whether you could search using web search engines when looking for work from home opportunities. Actually, you can. However, the problem is you may have to wade through tons of unnecessary information that would eat a lot of your precious time. You see, many web sites appear in their results pages that are plain scams. Due to this, it is wiser to stick with sites that focus on employment. With these in mind, you can start looking for a potential home-based job.

Why Communication Skills Don’t Work In Customer Service

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Every time my firm conducts communication skills training, we know someone is going to object.

“That doesn’t work. Everybody’s heard of active listening. You can’t use that stuff anymore.”

And we have to admit, there’s a lot of truth in that. Everyone has heard of active listening. And it doesn’t work for many people much of the time.

But communication skills can work for your staff.

The problem usually isn’t the skills. It’s the way people are trained to use them. Learn to use communication skills effectively, and they can create happy customers and higher income.

There are two components to good communication skills: (a) the skills themselves, and (b) what you’re trying to do (your intention) when you use them. Many employees learn communication skills from manuals. And many manuals emphasize either skills, or intention but not both. And so, much of what we think of as communication skills training fails.

Here are a couple of examples:

Example 1: How active listening gets a black eye: using good skills, but with the intention to fix or change a customer

I was coaching a hospital social worker through a confrontation with a mother who was terribly frightened. The social worker was doing his best to demonstrate active listening.

“OK, I get that you’re upset. And you want to get out of here. And I want to help you. But you’ve got to go through this process before you can take your daughter home.”

The mother didn’t react at all the way he’d hoped. “I don’t want to hear all this institutional talk,” she said. “You leave me alone. I’ll sue if I have to!”

This appears to be a failure of active listening. And it is, but the problem goes deeper than that. When I paused the encounter and asked the social worker how he thought the mother was feeling and what she needed, he said, “I don’t really know. I was busy trying to get her to do what I wanted and think it was her idea.”

Active listening skills are useful, but they’re only tools. They serve the intentions of the person using them. And if you don’t teach trainees useful intentions, most will fall back on trying to fix people or change them. So you’ll be training your staff to be very effective at letting your customers know they need to be fixed or changed. And your customers will let you know how unpleasant an experience that is.

Example 2: How “understand before you are understood” fails: having a useful intention but lacking the skills to communicate it

I paused a training scenario just after an angry man blew up at a nurse. I was coaching the nurse through an encounter with a father who felt the staff was trying to hustle him and his son out of the hospital.

He told her that he worked all day and came into the hospital all night. And where did she think he was going to get the time to go through training before he took his son home?

When I asked her how she thought the man was feeling and what he needed, she suggested that he seemed overwhelmed and afraid, and that he might need some support.

When I suggested she might ask the man if that’s what he was experiencing, she turned to him and said, “You need an appointment with a social worker. I’ll set something up for you.”

This is a classic failure that comes from understanding your customer, but lacking the skills to communicate it. The nurse could describe the source of the man’s anger clearly to me. She had real empathy for him. But she couldn’t put her words together in a way he recognized as compassionate.

We’d taught her the words, of course. But like most people who learn new skills, she lacked the confidence to use them. So she, like the trainee above, fell back on trying to fix the customer. And he let her know how much he disliked being treated that way.

It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t practicing

Both of the examples above underscore a third important component of communication skills training, namely, the practice.

The trainee in the first example was a compassionate man with a degree in social work. I’m sure he’d had ample exposure to good communication skills. It had never gelled for him before.

Once we put him in a scenario, coached him through the skills, and alerted him to the fact that he was struggling because he was trying to fix his customer instead of connecting with her (that’s the intention we teach), he developed skills rapidly. He even returned to training weeks later to report that he’d created a real difference in his life using the skills at home. He quickly became a valued mentor to others in his work group.

Communication skills are deceptively challenging. It takes no great intellect or dexterity to utter the words. What is terribly demanding is all the processing: keeping your focus on the other person despite your own discomfort, listening for the needs beneath complaints and accusations, drumming up the nerve to suggest to an outraged man that he might value some support.

What gets you through tough interactions is your confidence in your own intention and skills. And you learn confidence through practice.

In my experience, those are the keys to effective communication skills:
1. holding a useful intention like understanding the other person or connecting with them,
2. employing skills that communicate your intention, and
3. practicing the skills and intentions so you have them at hand, even when interactions get intense, especially when they do.

Find training that will provide you all three, and you’ll have communication skills that will please your customers and increase your income.

WHAT WE HATE ABOUT WORKING FOR OTHERS
Caught in the cycle of having to make sure our bills are paid, many of us will continue working for this unsatisfying job because it is what we have to do. We will also, inadvertently, come up with deadlines of which we need to find another job by.

FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU HATE ABOUT EMPLOYMENT WITH OTHERS
Some of these questions could include, “Is it the manner in which I am spoken to?” “Do I feel that I am not given enough credit?” Perhaps it isn’t personal at all and it has everything to do with the management of the company. Analyzing what you like and don’t like about working for someone else, or what you liked or didn’t like about your career will help you focus on the type of business you need to create that will help you and your business grow and prosper. You should also plan to write everything you think about down in a question and answer format. Remember assessing your life in a logical fashion will help you when you turn your hobby into a profit. Depending on what your job was, you should tailor your own questions for you to answer.

WRITING YOUR BUSINESS PLAN
The next step in creating the business that will support your hobby is to take the brainstorming of ideas, (what you hated about your previous job, career or company), and start elaborating on it. This section will discuss writing a business plan that will help you take your hobby making it a profitable business. You cannot start a profitable business without thinking about how you want to run it.

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY? FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO FOR PROFIT.
Start with a small aspect of your hobby, and if your business is successful, remember you can always add on to your business and keep it growing through incorporating more of your hobby ideas. Once you have figured out an aspect of your hobby that you can use for a profitable business, you should start incorporating this aspect into your business model. It can be overwhelming if you “take on too much” with a business idea.

LOOK AT SIMILAR BUSINESSES GET IDEAS
Before you officially open your business, you need to take a look at the competition in the industry of your choice. Also, it will help you create a network in your new industry. Visiting the owners of businesses has proven to be quite helpful to many people who are looking to turn a hobby into a profitable business. Research matters and will tell you much of what you need to know to keep your business afloat. Perhaps they are doing something you haven’t thought of or perhaps you want to do something they haven’t thought of. Organizations like veterinary clinics, dog kennels and many other types of organizations welcome visitors.

RINSE AND REPEAT
It is my hope that you have learned some valuable tools to help you turn your hobby into a profitable business. If you have a business model that works and you do not see much for improvement, (or perhaps, you don’t need to improve because your sales are doing so well), then this is likely the best thing for you to do in order for your company to grow.

FINALIZE YOUR BUSINESS PLAN. WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN NEXT:LEGALLY, EDUCATION, AND FINANCIALLY.
Of course, you should plan to incorporate these aspects in to your plan figuring out how much personal money you want to put into your business or figuring out how much money you plan to borrow from a bank or other lender. Depending on the type of industry your hobby is, you may need equipment to help you do the hobby.

EDUCATE YOURSELF IN SALES. VERY IMPORTANT
Other people prefer to learn skills from reading books. Another aspect of turning a hobby into a profitable business is learning how to sell a product, any product, to another individual. You can always read about how to do sales, but actually watching someone sell a product or sell a product yourself is the best way to learn how to sell any product to another person. If you decide to follow a salesman, make sure you are watching these crucial parts of their sales call, otherwise, you have wasted your time following them.

Helpful Free Marketing Places That Work

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Marketing your business online can be hard, and cost a lot of money. Chances are if you are just starting your new home business you have little or no money to invest into big advertising campaigns. So more then likely you will be on the lookout for free and cheap methods of advertising.

Below I have listed a number of free sources that I use online to promote my businesses, and they are all proven to work. How do I know this? I have tested each of these please for months, and some of them even years. You will not get huge results, but you will get website traffic and leads which can convert into sales. So it is a great way to start.

My first place I recommend is called smartsafelist.com. This place allows you to become a member for free, and each day you can email to their full list of active members, plus you can email to the contact address of each member every 2 weeks.

This place does a lot of their own marketing which means new people are joining daily, and that means more people you can email. You can also place banner ads and text ads on the site for free.

Now the cool thing about this place is you are guaranteed to get traffic to your website, because all members must click on special credits links inside each email. When they click on these links they will stay on your website for 15 seconds and earn a certain amount of credits which they can then use to send out their own email messages. I give this place a 5 start rating.

The next place on my list that I recommend is called Usfreeads.com. Again this place is free to join, or you can become a paid member for a small monthly fee. As a free member you can post one classified ad per day. If you wish to post more ads per day simply create more then one user account. Or you can become a paid member and post unlimited amount of ads each day.

I recommend posting at least five ads here per day. Depending where you place your ad each ad should get up to ten views in just 24 – 48 hours time. So if you posted multiple ads you can see how quickly you can get traffic. I give this place a four star rating.

The final spot I recommend is Easyhits4u.com. This place is free to join, or you can become a paid member for just a few dollars each month. The way this place works is you surf for credits by viewing websites for a certain amount of time.

You then can take your credits, and exchange them into traffic to either your website or banner ads. Easyhits4u has over 85 thousand members, so your website or banner will get a lot of traffic, and the traffic them comes from here is pretty good quality. I give this place a three star rating.

So never let anyone tell you that free advertising does not work, because it is a complete lie. It just work it just depends on where you advertise and how often you do it. Hit each of the above sites at least once a day, and you will see some good results.

Make sure to check out Free Safelist Marketing as its a great place to advertise for free.

Why Not Investigate Multi Level Marketing as Work From Home Options?

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

Are you investigating potential work from home options for yourself? Whether you want to work out of your house because you have family at home or because you’re tired of the commute and the office, or because you just want a good second income, there are many legitimate work from home options you can investigate. Some choose to offer a service from their home such as child care or in-home virtual assistant services, but often selling things online is a very profitable way to earn money while working from home. Of course you can sell things on eBay and other sites and there are many ways to do this. Let’s look at these situations as well as multi level marketing or MLM work from home options.

MLM refers to selling a product as well as recruiting others to sell that product. If you recruit someone else to sell that product, you get a commission for the sales they generate as well as for your own sales. You can see how these would be lucrative work from home options. MLM is like having two incomes; you sell and someone else sells and you get commission from both! For these types of work from home options, you can choose a product that you already use or that you understand and then set up a website to sell it and to recruit others. If for example you use certain vitamins or supplements or cosmetics, you can have your own site that sells these things and that recruits others. These types of work from home options are very popular among those who want to work from home because the companies usually have everything you need to set up your website. This might be descriptions of the products, photos, and a way to have others sign up to sell through your site. So it’s not as if you need to create you site from scratch with no direction on how to actually sell! If you work with an established company that offers these work from home options you can get your site up and running and can begin selling almost immediately.

Of course there are other work from home options you can consider when it comes to internet sales. For example, you can work with drop shippers. These are companies that manufacture, warehouse and ship items that you sell. For example, scrapbook supplies are often sold through drop shippers. You would sell the items on your site and then process the paperwork, forwarding the information to the drop shippers. They handle the shipment itself. These types of work from home options offer you a wide range of items you can sell, whether that’s on your own site or eBay or anyplace else. You charge your customers a price and the drop shipper charges you a price, and your profit is the difference in those two numbers. But whatever your choice, work from home options on the internet are abundant!

Take a Look at the Top 10 Internet Franchises and Realize Your Potential to Work From Home

Friday, April 16th, 2010

Almost half of the nation’s business owners work from home, according to the U.S. Census Bureau in 2002. Moreover, internet franchises offer not only the benefits of working from home, but also the opportunity to communicate with the click of a mouse.

There are many franchisers offering the benefit of working from a home-based office. With these business franchises, the franchisee has all the perks of a home-based income as well as the personal satisfaction of meeting with clients face-to-face or even traveling around the world!

For those looking for a franchise business completely managed in-home, there are several prospects that are strictly work from home Internet franchises. With franchises like these, the franchisee is not required to conduct any business apart from the comfort of a home office. Whichever you prefer, there are several franchise opportunities available to the aspiring entrepreneur. Here are the top 10 work from home internet franchises:

#1 Internet Marketing

This rapidly growing industry is quickly dominating the marketplace. Because online purchases are soaring and continuing to increase each year, businesses are looking for internet marketing teams to help get their websites noticed.

Furthermore, companies like AIS Media are offering franchisees the chance to profit from a growing e-commerce industry. AIS Media specializes in developing interactive websites for small businesses looking to market their products and services online. As a business franchise, you supply website design or redesign, email marketing, search engine optimization, web hosting, domain registration, business email, etc. Moreover, no technical background is necessary. #2 Advertising Agencies

Franchisers such as Advertising Consultants are using the internet to expand their agencies by allowing franchisees to work from home-based offices. The benefit to this type of franchise business is that it does not incur any costs associated with opening and operating new agency locations. In fact, physicians and their staff members are overwhelmed with the paperwork it takes to operate even a small practice. Many are outsourcing this paperwork to medical billing specialists. In many cases, by operating a medical billing business franchise, you are afforded the sophisticated software programs, training, technical support and even marketing materials essential to launching a lucrative and successful home-based business.

#4 Internet Research

The research field may not seem like the most exciting industry available to franchisees; however, it is among the most profitable. In marketing and public relations, for example, research is a dominant facet that most marketing and public relations practitioners are weary of building their career upon. Of course, once they discover the potential financial benefits, they are more inclined to explore it. The same is true for internet research. Such research companies gather contact information about prospective clients for businesses. These companies are willing to pay for strategic research because their sales will increase quickly and significantly. Furthermore, human resource departments are using internet research to increase efficiency in the hiring process. Not only are they able to collect contact information, some research tools even help to distinguish passive candidates, those just browsing, from those actively seeking employment. Most often, franchisees have the option of working with clients currently belonging to the franchiser as well as any new clients they acquire.

#5 ATM Franchise

Few people keep large amount of cash in their wallets or purses. It is far safer to carry a bank card and get cash as needed, usually from an ATM. As ATM locations appear through the nation and the world, entrepreneurs are taking advantage of this franchise opportunity. Moreover, becoming a business franchise in this exciting industry does not require related experience. ACFN ATM, for instance, provides all necessary training and even qualified locations for your ATM franchise business. Currently, ACFN ATM is the only ATM franchise business in North America. With any growing business opportunity, those who get involved early gain access to untapped markets; thus, they are ahead of the competition and have a chance to earn more wealth.

#6 Promotional Products

Have you ever looked in your kitchen cupboard and noticed that your most luxurious coffee mug came from your workplace? How about your favorite ink pen? Products such as these are “freebies” for employees, customers and even potential clients for big businesses. What many people do not consider is that these products are also advertising a particular organization. This innovative form of advertising has become a lucrative franchise opportunity for those seeking an internet franchise allowing them to work from home. While operating a business franchise from a promotional products company such as Adventures in Advertising (AIA), you have the opportunity to work with nonprofits, small businesses, schools, hospitals, human resource departments, etc. And, since the goods they purchase will be given away, repeat business is inevitable. Furthermore, franchisers like AIA offer training programs to prepare its franchisees for a successful run in the promotional products industry.

#7 Financial Companies

This franchise opportunity is ideal for someone with an accounting or financial background, or someone with no such background at all! In either situation, the financial industry continues to expand, allowing entrepreneurs to venture into this industry with a business franchise. Whether franchising a global brokerage or leasing company, franchisors are prepared to educate and equip their franchisees with all the training and support tools necessary to manage a winning franchise business. For potential entrepreneurs with an interest in finance, there is a franchise opportunity that allows you to make this dream a lucrative reality while still working from your home office.

#8 Outdoor advertising

There are many internet franchises focused on profiting from increasing online sales. A couple of the business franchises mentioned so far target this ever-increasing market. Still, traditional advertising media are not obsolete by any means. In fact, outdoor advertising is financially rewarding and still allows you to work from your home office. With no employees to hire or location to manage, you count more of your earnings as profit. Furthermore, training and support are provided by the franchisee. After all, your accomplishments contribute to your franchiser success.

#9 Travel Agencies

While most travel agencies require franchisees to operate units outside the home office, there are some who offer franchises to professionals looking to work from home. This type of business franchise relies mostly on communication via the internet and also over the phone. Moreover, many travel agency franchisors provide discounted travel to those who run one or more of their franchise businesses. If you are interested in the flexibility of a home-based income and traveling the world, this franchise opportunity is ideal.

#10 Healthcare Staffing

Over the past several years, shortages in the nursing industry have only continued to increase. Nursing schools are flocked with students hoping to obtain a position in this money-making field. Fortunately, entrepreneurs stand to gain monetarily from the nursing shortage by operating a medical staffing business franchise. Staffing companies are responsible for bridging the gap between nurses looking for employment and hospitals in need of nurses. Traditional staffing companies have nurses who are basically on call for hospitals in their areas that need nurses at the last minute. For example, a hospital may contact a staffing company because several nurses are unable to work during a single shift, leaving the remaining hospital staff in a dire situation. A member of the staffing company then goes through a list of nurses until the number of scheduled nurses is back up to par.

With many work from home medical recruiting agencies, this model is taken to the next level. With this type of business franchise, you act as an agent for the healthcare practitioner. Furthermore, you also have the chance to build a team of healthcare recruiters working with you to increase the number of clients. How much work you undertake depends on the amount of time you wish to work in addition to the amount of money you would like to make.

With each franchise opportunity, you have the benefits of working from home, including flexible hours, lower cost investments, few or no employees, etc. Most importantly, experience is not required to participate in any of these business franchises. All you need is the self-discipline and motivation it takes to work from home successfully and the thorough research it takes to determine which internet franchise is meant for you.

Is A Work From Home Franchise Business Right For You?

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

If you’re interested in opening your own business, you should definitely consider the potential rewards of a business that would allow you to work from home. A home based business offers an amazing level of autonomy, and there are a surprising number of work at home franchise opportunities. In this article we will discuss some of the pros and cons of working from home as well as some of the available home based business franchises.

Pros and cons of a home business:
One major advantage of home based business franchises is that the initial investment required is typically much lower than a traditional franchise. Work from home franchises are usually in the $15,000-$30,000 range. You can occasionally even find a work at home franchise for as little as $10,000.

Another advantage is that a home based business has very few overhead expenses. Of course you will have to maintain a home office, but your chief operating tools will be things such as a computer, telephone or fax machine. If you choose to employ one or two people, there would, of course, be some payroll.

Home based business franchises require you to stock little to no inventory, which is advantageous because it alleviates the responsibility of keeping up with an inventory system.

Many prospective franchisees find the lifestyle associated with working from home to be the key advantage. There are a number of work at home franchise opportunities that only require a part-time commitment to be successful. This provides franchisees with a great deal of flexibility in their schedules and often affords them more time to spend with their families. This flexible schedule also allows business owners to conduct business at times that are most convenient for them as opposed to adhering to the traditional “retail-style” hours of operation.

However, working at home does have some disadvantages, too. There is staggered revenue potential associated with these types of businesses. Because there is no walk-by traffic, home based businesses are dependent upon a loyal client base for repeat business.

As the owner of a home business, you will have limited exposure due to municipal law, which prohibits home based franchises from maintaining “street signage” on residential properties. You can get around this restriction if your home has been zoned for commercial use, but for the most part your business’s exposure will depend on your ability to market it through various advertising media.

National advertising campaigns are not commonly associated with home based franchises. Normally, marketing the business is the sole responsibility of the franchisee, and this may limit the reach of your marketing campaign to your own town or city.

Finally, as a home-based franchisee, your business practice will be isolated. This can curtail the number of networking opportunities you will have. If you do not maintain an active and effective advertising campaign, you are likely to lose potential customers to any competitor who operates a street-front or retail business.

Available home based business franchises:
If you’ve weighed the pros and cons and decided that a home based franchise is right for you, you might consider some these franchise opportunities:

PosiGrip is a turnkey, home based franchise that offers its customers protection from dangerous slip-and-fall accidents. PosiGrip is a process that creates a tread design on almost any hard surface including tubs and showers. The process does not discolor or change the look or feel of floors or showers. It simply makes them safer. For an initial investment of $8,000-$10,000, you will receive training and support, national advertising and a complete marketing program. PosiGrip imposes no franchise or royalty fees on its franchisees.

Guard-A-Kid™ Child ID Systems is a franchise that allows the franchisee to choose working from home or from a mall kiosk. The services and products they provide their customers are essential for child safety. For example, a complete child ID and safety package that includes two wallet-size printed IDs, a large file-size ID and a CD-ROM containing all the child’s information in digital format is available to patrons. The initial investment for this franchise is $19,900. Your start-up kit will include numerous technological tools to ensure your success including a state-of-the-art laptop PC and an FBI-quality digital fingerprint scanner. Guard-A-Kid was included in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500® list and was also recently named one of the top 100 new franchises by Franchise Market Magazine.

You can even work from home in the travel industry. For example, Cruise Planners is a nationally recognized cruise planning agency, and they were ranked number one in their category in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500® for 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. The initial investment required for this home based business franchise is $20,000. Franchisees in this system enjoy training programs, marketing and advertising programs, exclusive lead and website programs as well as the highest commission levels in the industry.

Final thoughts concerning home based businesses:
