Mlm Mentors – How To Choose A Good Mentor

The right MLM mentor can make the difference between failure, success, and huge results for the majority of folks in network marketing. Choosing the right mentor may be the most important decision a new networker makes. I have taught networkers for years that the choice of a mentor is even more important than the choice of the company to join!

Sadly, a lot of people in network marketing do not have a good mentor. I usually see several reasons for this.

One of the major reasons is that most people who are new to mlm just don’t understand how vital their selection of a mentor is. Another is that many network marketers fail to take the time to choose wisely. Maybe they get caught up in the hype and excitement of the business. Maybe they are in too big of a hurry to get started. However, the most frequent reason is that the most networkers don’t know exactly what they need in a good mlm mentor.

Here are the key qualities of a good mentor.

A good mentor will have experience in the industry. He or she will be able to coach you both offline and online. Find out exactly how you will be trained to build your business. What is the system you will follow. If their system is centered on an exclusive hot lead source, that’s a red flag. Find someone who can prove they have mastered the Internet.

The right mentor will be easily accessible. You need someone you can get in touch with day or night. When you have a hot prospect in the day-time and your mentor is at his/her job then, that’s a problem. Join someone who is a full-time networker. Call your prospective mentor’s office at 10am. If they don’t answer live, see how long it takes them to return your call.

Find a mentor who has a likable personality and leadership qualities. You are going to spend many hours working together over the coming years. Take a few minutes to get to know him/her. They must have excellent communication skills, organization skills, and know how to treat others with respect.

Understanding this is critical to your success in network marketing. Take your time and partner with the right mlm mentor.

Strong network marketing skills are invaluable in all aspects of the business world because they involved attracting and building relationships with like minded people. The best way to learn these skills is to find a mentor or group of mentors who are already successful and work with them. A good mentor can not only show you how to apply the skills but also guide you and keep you from making costly mistakes.

Network marketing skill building will teach you how to attract the right kind of prospects who have the same general goals and beliefs as you. These are called “Like-Minded” people and when you begin to attract them there will be a natural bond because you will instantly relate to them. When you a good mentor you will find this same type of bond exists and you can develop a strong relationship quickly. The key to a successful mentor relationship is that you must be willing to work and follow the instructions you are given. The role of the mentor is to assist you and answer questions but you are ultimately responsible for doing the work. In network marketing there are too many people who feel all they have to do is join and rely upon others to make them successful, this is the reason why so many people fail. In reality everyone only has to do a small amount of work and when added together it becomes a massive “collective” body of work that can produce incredible results.

Forums Can Be Your Personal Coach And Mentor

Forums are so underrated does anybody know why?

Did you know they can be your mentor or coach in whatever you are persuing?

It is practically an untapped resource that many more people should get into this is why….

Why do I want to get involved in forums you ask?

Here’s why, no matter what you do in this life there is usually someone out there that is alot better at it than you. You could learn yourself untill you get good enough to beat them or you could learn from them gain all the knowledge in less than half the time and beat them at their own game.

This can be related to forums, for an example I will use someone who wants to succed in an internet home business. We will call him John, John has just got his webpage promoting a product or service John doesn’t know where to start. So he starts researching, he finds all the info he needs after a few months and applies it. After a few years John is making some money but nothing serious, he knows it will take him a few more years to be successful. Lets take the alternate path john starts his product or service and joins a forum relating to it, he asks people questions only to come back the next day to find they are answered. After a couple of months john is making a bit of money, after a few years he makes a full time income.

My point is it increases your learning curve dramatically, hence this accelerates your growth exponentially. Let me explain further from a more practical point of view, say we want to promote an affiliate service like plug in profit program. First we go to the search engines and type something related to it such as: home business forum. The search engines come up with various home business forums join one, make sure that it is centered around a home business not multiple subjects. The reason for this is that it will take a lot longer for you question to get answered. Once you have joined ANYTHING that you are unsure about just ask about it, if you want more information on a subject just ask. People in forums are generally very experienced and will be happy to help you never be afraid to ask a question because it is to stupid or for whatever other reason.

Take the time to get familiar with the forum and people make an effort to post at least once a day, this will get you credibility and also build up backlinks to your website. After a while of posting you will notice that you are learning alot quicker and realise how long it would have taken you to learn youself. One more thing before i leave you, DO NOT pay for a mentor or coach i have heard so many bad stories it just isn’t worth it.
