Sunday, November 14th, 2010

Many people start in their network marketing business thinking they are going to make a ton of money selling the products or marketing the services. This is so far from the truth. The only way you can make a lot of money in your network marketing business is to duplicate yourself. Meaning you have to the ability to sponsor people and train them so they can become successful business owners themselves.

If you are looking for a way to explode your team then your business really needs to have a training program that rocks. The right business with the right training program will attract many different kinds of people. Some people will have no experience what so ever in the network marketing arena and will really need a step by step plan to grow their business. You will also attract successful business people. They are looking for a business that has a training program so they can use it to build their enterprise.

When you see a successful network marketing entrepreneur you know that they have built a team that has a training program in place to help their downline become a success. The MLM industry has the coolest structure. In order for anyone to be successful they have to make sure they have a system in place that teaches their teammates how to be successful.

Make Sure You Have A Training Program In Place

I can be the best salesman in the world but until I understand that to build a huge network marketing business then I have to be able to train many different kinds of people. So my training system has to be simple and easy to duplicate.

In my experience you are going to find people who need to be held by the hand and walked through getting started. They are going to need emails, possibly web casts, and I’m sure phone calls to encourage them they are on track. Then you are going to find the other extreme of people who want no help at all. They are going to ask for links, maybe some written instruction and they want you to get out of their way. In either extreme you need a training program that works for all kinds of people.

In many network marketing programs the training starts out teaching about the products or service, the opportunity itself, and then will share or explain a marketing strategy. At some point though you are going to have to different marketing strategies in the training. Many businesses have the basic training in place but have nothing in place to train people how to grow and keep in contact with a huge downline.

As you grow your business you need to continue your own training. You need to research successful entrepreneurs and businesses to see the different systems they have in place that has grown their own company. You will see all of these people and businesses have a training program in place that meets the needs of all people and usually for every step in growing a person’s business.

It is going to be extremely important that you take advantage of all the network marketing tips so you can make your team go boom. Continue to research and study successful business people. Find out the training programs they have in place that you can use to enhance your business. Put together a training program that will reach all the different people you are going to attract and then watch your business and team EXPLODE.

The GROW Coaching Model

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

The GROW model is a coaching model that describes a very simple process that can be followed to help you work towards and to achieve your goals.

Goal

The first step is to understand what your goal is. Understanding your goal gives you a concrete objective towards which you can work, and the freedom to start doing so.

Make your goals SMART – goals that are Simple, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based. This removes the pie-in-the- sky aspect of goal setting, and turns them into something that you can actually achieve. Having a goal such as ‘I would like to lose weight’ is difficult to measure and hence difficult to achieve. How about changing it to ‘I would like to lose 5 kg by December 2007′?

Without goals comes a lack of focus, and with no focus it is very easy to drift through life – just living from day to day, wondering why you are not achieving anything in life. How much harder is it to move forward without understanding where you are going?

Reality

The next step is to look at the current reality. Where are you in relation to your goal? Have you almost achieved your goal? Are you a long way away? Do you need to break the goal into smaller, more achievable goals? It may require a detailed and honest analysis of where you are, But having a deep understanding of where you are provides a very solid foundation of understanding what needs to happen.

Options

Once you understand your goal and your reality, the task is to find out how to start to move the reality towards the goal. At this stage in the process, you examine what options are available to you. This is where the planning takes place. There may be a single course of action, or there may be multiple options from which to choose. This is a good opportunity to go into some creative brainstorming, or to perform a SWOT analysis on the various options that are available to you.

Remember that at this stage you are not deciding which are the best options – that is for later. You are simply deciding on what the possible options are.

What

At this stage, we have examined the goal, we know where we are in respect to the goal, and we have examined the various options that we can follow to reach the goal. The final step is to examine the options, and to decide what the best option is to reach your goal. Note that you are not looking at the easiest option, but the best option. IE: which option is going to move you closest towards your goal?

Working the Plan

Working through the GROW model provides a very simple yet powerful framework to support you in achieving your goals. However, the work really happens not in the planning, but in the working of your plan. While working your plan, keep in mind how you are progressing towards your goal. Keeping examining what is and is not working in your plan. What might have seemed as a great option (the WHAT) might not have been the best choice . So try to have the flexibility to make adjustments when it becomes necessary.

Where to use GROW

The GROW model can be used in almost any aspect of your personal or business life, including health, wealth, team goals and career aspirations. Basically, GROW will work anywhere in your life that you are working towards a goal. If you would like to find out more, or to have some assistance working through the GROW model, please give us a call, and we will gladly assist.

Historical Note

There is a lot of uncertainty as to the origins of the GROW model. Several sources cite several different authors. To the best of my knowledge, it was created by Graham Alexander and brought to the fore by Sir John Whitmore.

How 5 Simple Steps Will Grow Your Events & Functions Bigger And Better Each Time.

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

The key to successfully growing bigger and better events is to set up what’s called the Marketing Cycle. The first part of the cycle is to promote your event in whatever way you can, such as traditional advertising. The next step is critical. You must collect names and addresses & email addresses when people book. At this point you should confirm their booking, but importantly from your point of view, use it to ask them to tell others.

As the event draws closer, in order to create anticipation of the event you contact people prior to the event who have already booked to remind them of the event and again ask them to tell others. This next step is again critical. After the event you actively seek feedback. This must seek constructive feedback to help improve your events. You need to know what people are thinking, and pick on the issues you can improve on. The feedback must also seek to collect positive comments.

You now have completed one cycle. Marketing the next event (marketing cycle) gets easier. You use the database of contacts you already built up to direct market to these “qualified” people. Most importantly, in your promotional communication you tell them (from your feedback) what has changed (to make it a better event), and you include the positive comments (testimonials) from people. You then continue through the remainder of the cycle.

As you can appreciate, for each subsequent event (marketing cycle) the information you generate gets more fine tuned to what people want so you can deliver events they will be more motivated to attend.

An online booking (& payment) service provides an excellent way to manage the Marketing Cycle as it will collect email and postal addresses (and payments), automatically provide confirmation emails and send reminder emails (plus use it to ask them to tell others). The most critical part is it will collect feedback after the event. This is the marketing gold of your Marketing Cycle!

For the next event you simply use your database to direct mail. Plus you also now have another valuable weapon as part of the Marketing Cycle. Most people will only respond to a promotional after several communications. You can now very easily use your on line booking system to send subsequent follow up promotions to only those on your database who have not yet registered.

The marketing cycle is how www.mybookingmanager.com, an on line booking & payment system operates.
