We like to think that we don’t judge things based on appearances, but when is the last time a website’s content was compelling enough to overcome a terrible design – cluttered, garish, disorganized, or plain ugly? If you want people to visit your website and better yet, stick around and bookmark it, it needs to have a great theme, or design. And if you really have no idea how to tweak a WordPress theme to get it like you want it, you’ll get more hand-holding from the designers of themes that you purchase.

A good network marketing system can literally mean the difference between a whole lot of success and little to no success at all.

If you’re in network marketing then you know that creating leads and doing good follow up is at the core of building a successful business. If you’re in MLM, then must also know the importance of having consistent upfront income coming in to help build your business.

The problem is that many network marketers are not taught how to do proper follow-up, especially in the Internet age. They are also not shown the other way to build an mlm business – and that’s leading with retail products…also known as retail to recruit.

It’s no secret that building a network marketing business takes a lot of hard work and effort, not to mention an extreme amount of focus. Creating leads takes time as well. As an entrepreneur it is your job to get work done in your business in the most efficient way possible. After all, your time is worth something.

Outside of building your business, you may have other responsibilities like taking care of sick parents, raising your children, or working a full-time job. So you’ve probably have a lot on your “plate” anyway and the business you’re trying to build just adds more to your “to do list.”

So, this is why a lot of network marketers still struggle even with the help of the Internet. There’s just a lot of work to be done; usually you’re the only one doing it if you don’t have the help of a spouse or business partner.

This is where marketing systems come in. A lot of people only see network marketing systems as a way to sell products. They don’t see it for what it really does beyond selling…i.e. following up, creating leads, and building your list. Those are very important ingredients when building a business online.

As you can see there are necessary things you must do if you want to build a business successfully on the Internet. And as you now know, it can be very, very time consuming, especially if you’re like most people and have other things going on in your life.

This is why it is very important that you choose a network marketing system that is going to aid you the most in building your business on the ‘net. If you’ve ever tried a system and then quickly realized that it’s not what it was hyped up to be, then you have to know that not all systems are created equally.

When you’re looking at a network marketing system, you have to keep these important things in mind if you want to be successful at Internet network marketing: list-building, creating leads, monetizing those leads, follow-up, and ad tracking.

These are what the big successful Internet gurus do to make the big bucks on the Internet. If you want to successfully build a business on the ‘net too, then you’ll have to focus on these same areas.

Choosing a network marketing system that is built with the Internet in mind is the best system for you to use. You’ll want to stay away from systems that don’t let you build your own list from within the system itself.

You also want to stay away from systems that are replicated web pages; in other words you can’t change them or alter them in any way. You want the system and web pages branded to you.

If you keep in mind that you’re an entrepreneur and that your time is very valuable. Once you really understand how Internet marketing works, you’ll be able to see through those systems that fall short of helping you build your business.

You Choose: Laugh or Cry

We choose how we react, in every situation.  We choose to be upset or to be positive. Next time you are in a laugh or cry situation, choose wisely.

Some days are filled with one challenge after another.  Today was one of those days. What made it so challenging?  Here are a few of the highlights.

I woke up late with a four mile run ahead of me.  I’m training for another half-marathon and if I don’t get the requisite miles in I’m going to be sorry.  Today’s run seemed like the longest four miles ever.  I suffered a sore back, aching shins, and the constant thought that this should be easier.  Knowing that the big race is fast approaching, the voice in my head was really whining.  I got through it and followed it with a short walk with Mia, the poodle.  She was happy.

Today is also a travel day. I packed my bag and dressed for the trip eastward.  Knowing it would be much colder in Washington, DC than in Phoenix and learning from my flip flop mistake of last week (Salt Lake City and sandals don’t mix in the winter), I decided to wear closed toe, “sensible” shoes. Having few options in my closet, I pull out my trusty brown clogs and put on my warm socks.  Rushing through the airport to catch my flight I couldn’t figure out why these shoes felt so “funny.”  They were making my back hurt even more and they just seemed “wrong.”  As soon as I got to the gate I realized the problem.  My trusty clogs, which I thought were made of wood, were actually made of foam which had begun to disintegrate. The bottoms of my shoes were falling off right there in the terminal.  The only alternative I could consider was to put on my black patent leather pumps which were in my suitcase.  Of course, this was not a viable option as the pumps did not go with my outfit.  I tried taping the bottoms with tape I stole from the gate agent, but I continued to “shed” my soles throughout the long trip. I felt like crying.

Phoenix to Washington, DC is a four and a half hour flight and first class upgrades weren’t available.  Believe me, I tried.  So, I packed my laptop and trade journals and headed to the next best seat:  10D, on the aisle in the exit row.  When I arrived at my assigned seat I met my seatmate.  Joe is a 450+ pound traveler who usually flies first class because of his size.  Today he’s been re-routed and the airline didn’t have his usual seat available.  On this full flight they had just one seat to offer him—the one next to me.  As I settled in to my seat with Joe nuzzled up close, I realized that I was “one cheek to the aisle.”  Without armrests, tray tables, or ability to see through my seatmate to the window, I was in this for the long haul.  Again, I felt like crying.

It’s on days like these when I hear my mother’s sage advice. When I was in high school and all teenage-like and hormonal, I’d occasionally come home from school and cry about something someone said to me or something that didn’t go my way.  Mom would console me for a short time and then she’d say, “Now, stop your crying.  A week from now you won’t remember what you were crying about.”  And, you know what?  She was right.  I don’t remember any of the causes of those tearful times.  I won’t remember this day either.

It’s days like this that remind me: we choose how we react, in every situation.  We choose to be upset. We choose to be negative.  We choose to be “easy to get along with” (as the flight attendants described me today!). And, my Mom was right. You usually don’t remember the details for too long.

I ended up having a great flight.  I hung out with the great flight attendants in the galley. I got this article written, and I now have a good excuse to get a new pair of shoes.  I even got a voucher from US Airways “for my trouble.”  I’ve chosen to be unhappy as a response to situations in the past and it’s not a good thing.  Today<img src="http://www.articlesfactory.com/pic/x.gif" alt="Free Web Content" border="0", I chose to just laugh about it. What a better choice.

Every day there is a new health warning cautioning against the very products that make our lives easier. It seems that convenience could be killing us and killing the environment. Trying new products can be a bit of a gamble. Shopping for a natural skin care product used to be limited to a few choices on the shelves. People can now find natural alternatives for every beauty product they have ever used. These include natural moisturizers for all skin types, acne prevention products, and even wrinkle defense creams. In addition, there are also entire companies devoted to natural cosmetics, allowing women to love the environment and their skin while still wearing foundations, concealers, eye shadows, and bronzers. The choices are endless.

All these options can sometimes become overwhelming for a consumer. They may feel confused by the sheer magnitude of product types and not know where to begin. It is important to do some research first. Mlm Mentors – How To Choose A Good Mentor

The right MLM mentor can make the difference between failure, success, and huge results for the majority of folks in network marketing. Choosing the right mentor may be the most important decision a new networker makes. I have taught networkers for years that the choice of a mentor is even more important than the choice of the company to join!

Sadly, a lot of people in network marketing do not have a good mentor. I usually see several reasons for this.

One of the major reasons is that most people who are new to mlm just don’t understand how vital their selection of a mentor is. Another is that many network marketers fail to take the time to choose wisely. Maybe they get caught up in the hype and excitement of the business. Maybe they are in too big of a hurry to get started. However, the most frequent reason is that the most networkers don’t know exactly what they need in a good mlm mentor.

Here are the key qualities of a good mentor.

A good mentor will have experience in the industry. He or she will be able to coach you both offline and online. Find out exactly how you will be trained to build your business. What is the system you will follow. If their system is centered on an exclusive hot lead source, that’s a red flag. Find someone who can prove they have mastered the Internet.

The right mentor will be easily accessible. You need someone you can get in touch with day or night. When you have a hot prospect in the day-time and your mentor is at his/her job then, that’s a problem. Join someone who is a full-time networker. Call your prospective mentor’s office at 10am. If they don’t answer live, see how long it takes them to return your call.

Find a mentor who has a likable personality and leadership qualities. You are going to spend many hours working together over the coming years. Take a few minutes to get to know him/her. They must have excellent communication skills, organization skills, and know how to treat others with respect.

Understanding this is critical to your success in network marketing. Take your time and partner with the right mlm mentor.

How to Know What Goals to Choose

We all want more! Some of us want more money. Others want more love. Some people want more fun in their lives. While there are those that just want more stuff. What if I was to tell you that you could have everything you want! Would you be interested?

It is true that you can have anything you want to have. The tools are out there and the knowledge of how to use them is freely available. However, the problem with getting what you want is not in knowing how to do it. The self improvement industry has created a multitude of products to help you achieve your goals. There are hundreds of different techniques taught that show you how to influence your subconscious mind to manifest your desires.

Learning how to achieve your goals is as simple as studying any one of the proven courses on goal-setting then applying what you learn. Unfortunately though, a great amount of people have no idea what they want!

Ask them what they don’t want and they could talk for an hour. However, when you ask them what they do want they will freeze-up or rhyme off some generic comment like “I want to be happy” or, “I want more money”.

We all know that without goal you cannot create a concrete vision of what you want and therefore you cannot program your mind to help you get it! Without a definite destination you cannot know how to read a map to your advantage.

Likewise, without a definite desire or set of desires you cannot formulate a goal. Without a goal you cannot start to direct your life and take control of your destiny.

The key to setting goals is to know what you want. The key to knowing what you want is to first look at what you don’t want!

Take an area of your life were you are dissatisfied. List all the things that make you feel dissatisfied. If you are the type of person who finds it hard to identify what you want then this exercise should be very easy for you.

Now beside each of those dissatisfaction write down what way it makes you feel. This is important so don’t skip this step!

Now take another piece of paper and for each point on your list write down the opposite (or positive) feeling from the one you previously wrote down. Then brainstorm and ask yourself what thing, person, event, circumstance or situation would give me that feeling.

When you get down your list you should be able to identify several things that you could turn into goals.
